If everyone has UT2k4, we could play Alien Swarm :D
We could if I could play a top down game like swarm, but I can't seem to master it. its counterintuitive for me.
Swarm rocks. It takes a little while to get used to it, though -- and you have to accept that it's not the kind of game where'll you'll beat a map on the first try.

Or the 10th try. When it came out I tried it for a while. But it seems I was better suited for the Teamkiller role. Other players were getting angry, a mob formed and .......
Althogh teamkilling Madgerbil and Laughingrat sounds like alot of fun! :D
It's not easy.
But if it were easy, it wouldn't be fun.

I'll forgive you for that. I know you REALLY just meant Gerbil, not me.

You say that as though you believe anything easy is antithetical to fun. I'd have to disagree.
I'd also say that difficult often equals frustration, not fun.
I think the first time I played with wounds on was when Bill was leader :D
That was fun!

No, I said that believing that for a cooperative game to be fun for any length of time it has to be challenging. Plowing stuff can be fun, but it's kinda pointless after a little while.
With most single player and cooperative games so easy these days, I found Swarm to be an awesome change. It's hard, but not because of anything stupid like requiring perfect timing or crazy finger dexterity. It's hard because it requires tactics and teamwork.
I don't think it's ever a game I'd really play with random people, but it's probably the most fun I've had with cooperative gaming.
I'd also say that difficult often equals frustration, not fun.
I'd say that -- at least for me -- frustration usually sets in when I beat against an obstacle for a while and make no progress. I never had that experience with Swarm. It probably took us fifty tries to beat Rescue (what was originally the first map) for the first time, but we were getting closer and getting better every attempt. Even if we wiped early, we'd get something out of it, and there were always spectacular moments.
The maps take about ten minutes to finish if you're on the bounce, and resets are about thirty seconds. It's not like wiping really hurts.
I'd also say that difficult often equals frustration, not fun.

Yeah, that's frustrating, too. I just stop doing whatever it is, then. However, I find it far more frustrating to make no progress because it's ridiculously hard to beat something. I don't end up with a sense of accomplishment when I finally do beat it. It's more a sense of "it's about F***ING time!" That's assuming the frustration doesn't make me stop, much like the pain has made me stop on those occasions when I've felt the need to pound my hand with a hammer.
Hey is it possible for me to make a ut2k4 usergroup??? Guys can i ?!?!

That would have to be Billiam's job. Only admins can create usergroups and forums. If you're really, really nice to him, though, he might let you be the group moderator.
yeah, and we're talking about MG playing here, too. MG + challenging + losing a lot = That great whine we all know and love.
Gerbil DOES make the best whine!
Just do not forget to add a firey weapon of mass destruction to calm him down.
Gerbil would certainly have fun with the Flamer.
