Original names
I'm getting a new rodent hunter this next week (puppy) and I'm looking for some original names for him. You all seem pretty creative so I thought I'd pick your brains. The puppy is mostly black with a white chest and the tips of his paws are white. He's a mix (I know this sounds wierd) of Black Lab and Beagle. He's very friendly and very cute. I'll try to post a picture as soon as I get one. So anyways..... let the creativity fly.....

Puppies aren't rodent hunters. They're poop machines. The very word "puppy" is, in fact, a corruption of "pooper". How about "Svengali", though? I've never met any pet anywhere named that.

Or you could do what I did with my cats (the REAL rodent hunters) and name it after a bodily fluid. However, Snot, Lymph and Bile have been taken.

The poopmeister has arrrived... Thanks for the suggestions, we're still trying to decide on a fitting name. He's actually a very well behaved dog, only one pile in the house so far... it was pretty funny, the kids were gagging and the wife had to clean it up. Of course, I have to take him outside in the middle of the rainy night... oh well, a fair trade off. Keep the names coming if ya got more.

How about "Rainwalker" then? Or maybe "MakeMeDrenched"?

Name him Ryan.

Name him Ryan. That's freaky. Five minutes ago, I ended (won) a debate with a coworker named Ryan about the origin of the term "poindexter".

I should have a short chat with Ryan and tell him debating you is a waste of time. But it wasn't. He learned something. The following is an actual quote from near the end of the discussion: wins the debate. He is 100% correct. I can't argue w/ truth. Well, actual, barring the fact that I substituted LaughingRat for my real name.

Hey guys thanks for all the great names. We settled on a very original name. My wife came up with it and the kids liked it. It actually seems to fit the little ankle biter. Here it is....... Charlie. Ta Da!! Yep, Charlie... yep....... yeah..
