It Finally Happened!
It did! I finally got good enough at a video game to be accused of cheating! Oh frabjous day!

I've been Skill Point farming in Silk Road - building up a huge Skill Point reserve, because it'll allow me to level more quickly and not have to worry about it later. So I've been gunning down all these bandits in the bandit encampment to the south, because the bandit archers there spawn at an amazing rate. A good many people do this, so it's necessary to be quick to be successful, as well as to have a really nice bow (melee types don't stand a chance - the player archers target and put them down faster than a meleer can get there). So I'm doing my thing, kind of zenning into it. I'm teamed with a couple meleers, so they're picking up all the drops, and we're all getting a share, so all I have to worry about is shooting. And I'll admit, one of my tactics is to anticipate what enemy another player will be going after next, and kill it first. It discourages them from staying in the area, which makes my job easier and more productive. So this one guy, who's kind of backed himself into a corner (that is, he doesn't have a full 360 degrees around him to ipck targets from) and who I've been denying kills from for a little while finally announces publically that he's leaving because he's "tired of watching this chick bot" (my character is female). WOOHOO! The friends I'm teamed with deny it, point out they're on TS with me, etc. He just claims that it's "attended botting". What would be the point of that, anyway? I replied publically that this was a great day for me. I'd finally arrived. He left in disgust. I can kind of see why it looks that way, but really, all I'm doing is not watching my targets once I start shooting. I know they're going to be put down, and even if they're not, a single shot does enough damage that my team gets credit for the kill, so as soon as I start shooting, while the animation is playing, I'm picking another target out, and queueing the attacks against it. The result, as far as other players are concerned, is that the very moment I've killed something, I'm shooting at something else.

I always suspected you were a cheater. .. I don't know why as I never actually saw you play. EVER. :lol: I've been accused of cheating at video games many times. Mostly in UT, and UT2004 which I play quite a bit. I was never actually good enough at Thievery to be accused of cheating. Just as well,as I would have had to go kick LR's butt for accusing me, and noone wants that. :wink:

I was accused of cheating while playing Alien Swarm last night :shock: Just because I was winning a lot at AO-DM-Reincarnation doesn't mean I was cheating. Bastille is quite the DM thief.
